The Role

Welo Global is seeking experienced Burmese (Myanmar) Linguists and Copy Editors to support an exciting, long-term project with a leading multinational company. This is an ongoing freelance and remote position. Agencies are welcome to apply to this great opportunity!

Project DetailsLocation: RemoteExpected Volume: 5000+ words per weekEmployment Type: Freelance/Independent ContractTask Type: Translation, Copy-Editing and MTPEContent Types: Marketing, UI, Product, Support, Informational and LegalCAT Tool: Client-specific CAT tool (training provided during onboarding)

Requirements

Native or near-native proficiency in **Burmese (Myanmar) **with excellent command of English

2+ years of professional translation experience with a degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field or

5+ years of professional translation experience without a formal translation degree

Demonstrated experience translating **English to Burmese **across a variety of content types, including informational, marketing, UI, product, and support content

Experience using CAT tools

Excellent attention to detail and a proven ability to deliver high-quality translations while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced localization environment

Strong communication skills, responsiveness, reliability, and openness to feedback and revisions
